Foul Lines Are An Extension Of The Sides Of Home Plate.

All three bases and home plate are located inside fair territory.
When the ball hit home plate, it was fair and stayed in fair ground when it rolled to the pitcher and he threw out the batter-runner.
In the 3 images above you can get a view of where the baseline is located in relation to home plate. The angled back sections of the plate are an extension of the foul lines.
