Fielder's Choice or Hit?

Anonymous asked: Runner on first, no out.

Batter hit blooper to shallow CF. Runner goes halfway.

Ball drops, but CF picks it up and throws to second for the force. If there was no runner on, it would have clearly been a single.

What's the call? Hit and 8-4 force at 2nd? Or FC 8-4?

Determination for those calls belong to the score keeper.

As described, I would assume the SC would give the batter a hit, and the out goes as an 8-4.
