Len asked: If a player is sent to the minors, how long before he can be called back up to the major league club?
Rick answered: Len, thank you for your question.
Each club is permitted to roster a maximum of 25 players on it's MLB active list, referred to as the 25 man roster.
Once a player is sent down to the minors, they must remain there for at least 10 days before being recalled with the exception of, if they need to return due to an injury. This is to prevent teams from bouncing one or two players up and down depending on the day of the week.
