Chris asked: What three measures did Major League Baseball take during the 1930's to reawaken the fan interest?

Rick answered: Chris, thank you for your question.

I am thinking there are four possible measures that were taken in and around the 30's.

  • Night baseball, 1935.

  • Started a network of Minor League Teams all around the nation in small town venues.

  • Started building larger stadiums in the 20's

  • Revived the Negro Leagues

In addition, the emergence of Babe Ruth, Jimmy Fox, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig and many, many other big names.

Yours in baseball,

Rick
