What three measures did Major League Baseball take during the 1930's to reawaken the fan interest
Bush Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana Minor League Stadium
first night MLB game 1935, Cincinnati, Ohio
Chris asked: What three measures did Major League Baseball take during the 1930's to reawaken the fan interest?
Rick answered: Chris, thank you for your question.
I am thinking there are four possible measures that were taken in and around the 30's.
- Night baseball, 1935.
- Started a network of Minor League Teams all around the nation in small town venues.
- Started building larger stadiums in the 20's
- Revived the Negro Leagues
In addition, the emergence of Babe Ruth, Jimmy Fox, Ty Cobb, Lou Gehrig and many, many other big names. Yours in baseball, Rick
