Your in right field and you miss a ground ball, there are 2 outs and there is a runner at first. Where does right field through the ball??
Plus two bases for a clean catch, plus 3 bases for a missed ground ball.

Where does right field throw the ball?
Rick answered: Thank you for your question.
The general rule is, if you field the ball cleanly, you are looking to throw at a plus 2 bases from where the runner started, thus third base.
If you miss the ground ball, or bobble it, you are looking at plus 3 bases, home plate.
These adjustments occur on the run, in real time. The outfielder knows he has lost one option, and needs to come up throwing through the cutoff for the second option.
The infielders need to be aware that the situation has changed once the ball has been missed, and adjust their positioning for home plate on the move, in real time.
Defense is always about communication and the ability to make adjustments on the fly. The teams and individuals that are able to execute these changes on the move, at real speed, will always be the most successful.
Yours in baseball,
Rick
